Watermark on the Canal

Indianapolis, IN

Working with a local developer and The City of Indianapolis, Shapiro created the master plan for this downtown infill project and also designed the 28 single-family homes and the 10 attached townhomes.

The 3-story townhomes front along the canal while the single homes are arranged around a pocket park. The single-family homes all feature private side yard courtyards reminiscent of the historic Charleston homes. With an emphasis on walkability and connectivity, private alleys were designed to handle vehicular traffic.
