Hillside Retreat

This hillside estate nestled in the natural landscape of southwestern Pennsylvania is the forever home of two retirees returning to their home state. The modern farmhouse style home showcases expansive views to the rolling meadows that the property holds. With two smaller, more intimate covered porches, one larger screened porch, and a wall of windows in the family room, the outdoor connection is captured all throughout the rear of the home for year-round scenery. The one-story home features over 12 foot vaulted ceilings in the family room, adorned with natural wood beams. Both husband and wife wanted spaces of their own within the home, so a study for him and art studio for her were added. The basement is the primary storage location, but also holds a golf simulator. A separate structure accomodates the need for gardening space and storage.
