Greek Revival Home

Tennessee

Contractor: Mike SinquefieldInterior Architect: Shapiro & CompanyInterior Designer: Carol JohnsonLandscape Architect: Joe BaaschA stately, classically designed home sits proudly on a large suburban lot. Immediate presence of its massive columns and verticality sets the tone of the residence. The beauty of the exterior lies in a layering of textured brick and flawless limestone with historically crafted cornice, trim, and window details. Reminiscent of Jeffersonian Architecture, the design celebrates the splendor of the South.A wide front door flanked with side lights and crowned with a classically designed transom marks the threshold into the residence. A grand foyer with a prominent stair and living parlors to either side evokes the aura of an old world plantation home. The spaces to the rear of the house carry the traditional design to an updated lifestyle. The family room, living room, and breakfast room enclose an outdoor terrace ideal for family style alfresco dining, while a rear gallery leads to a nearby game room that is an informal convenience in day to day living.Shapiro & Company Architects was selected to design the overall project as well as the interior architectural details.
