Shapiro & Company Architects selected to renovate 1750 Madison Avenue

Shapiro & Company Architects

Shapiro & Company Architects is honored to be selected as the Architect for the conversion of this building originally designed in 1977 by nationally recognized Roy P. Harrover & Associates. Amongst many other accolades, Harrover designed the award-winning Memphis International Airport. Originally designed as an office building, we will repurpose the building to mixed-use office on the ground floor and one and two-bedroom apartments on the upper floors. We are trying to minimize changes to the exterior façade, but with long spanning concrete floor slabs, we have a great amount of flexibility with the designs of more modern and open apartment floor plans. Little known fact, this building contains a “secret” underground passage that Elvis used to connect to another building so he could visit both places without being seen by the public.
