Our clients love the dynamic lifestyle and architecture of this 1920s-era, Midtown neighborhood. Working within the Historic Central Gardens District design guidelines, we created a new home that responded to our client's desires for modern living in a historical context. The exterior is inspired by historic English Tudor homes that can be found in the neighborhood. Upon entering the home, an impressive formal living room and dining room welcome guests with naturally lit spaces that capture views of the tree-lined street. Moving toward the back of the house, the Kitchen and Bar area opens up to the vaulted Family room for a modern living experience. The primary suite, located on the ground floor, was carefully designed to create a luxurious retreat for the owners. A shaded covered porch connects the interior spaces to the garage and helps define the courtyard. The floor plan allows the Family Room, Kitchen, and Primary Suite to enjoy views of the private garden and pool. Using appropriate materials, tall ceilings, and large expanses of windows creates an overall uplifting home experience that fits nicely in the historical context while remaining a unique reflection of our client's personality.
