Estate Addition

The client for the existing house, to the right with the porch-over-porch entry, asked Shapiro & Company to design an addition with a four-car garage, office, playroom, media room, and guest bedroom. Shapiro & Company was sensitive to the fact that directly attaching such a structure to the existing residence would create an over-scaled addition. Therefore, Shapiro & Company designed the addition as an almost detached looking structure, while creating a courtyard between the two buildings, which can be seen from the family room and playroom.
