Lesley Bell

Architectural and Interior Designer

Lesley earned her dual degree in Architecture and Interior Architecture from the University of Memphis. She was always a creative person - painting, drawing, sewing, knitting, and playing piano and flute - but did not know she would land doing architecture until her second year of college. But from the moment she decided to pursue her architecture degree, she knew she wanted to design houses, enjoying the challenge along the way. As she began working professionally, it became more than just "fun" for a creative like herself. Lesley believes designing homes is more than just drawing walls and doors - it's really getting to know your client, how they live their life, and taking that information to design a home that reflects their personality, not only focusing on aesthetics, but also functionality, enhancing their wellbeing on a day-to-day basis. She says the client aspect, through being personable and making the client feel heard, is the most rewarding part of her work; wowing them with a design after hearing their wants and needs is something that will always make her smile.

Outside of work, Lesley likes to spend her free time with her husband, son, and dogs on their 8 acres of country land, watching the horses and cows pass by on their property line. Her goal is to get chickens and start a garden, embracing the homestead lifestyle by making the most of their land. She says her family's happiness is what means the most to her- architecture is a happy bonus!
