The owner of this renovation is a native Memphian who always loved the river and dreamed of living along its banks. They were delighted at the potential of this home when it became available. While the house had a perfect view of the river, it lacked any outdoor living and its interior spaces lacked any visual connection the river. In addition, the general floor plan was incredibly segmented and had cumbersome floor level changes throughout. The architects discovered that the house had land available to completely transform the facade and add a nicely scaled, livable front porch where the homeowner could now sit and enjoy views of the river and its beautiful sunsets.
