Carla received her BBA in Accounting from the University of Memphis and started working with Shapiro & Company at the onset of the firm’s formation. As an experienced bookkeeper, Carla has a natural appetite toward improving business and accounting practices as well as increasing usability and productivity via the innovative use of technology. She is responsible for all accounts and financial transactions for Shapiro & Company. Carla develops financial and accounting information while monitoring the financial performance of the firm. Carla also works closely with the CEO to monitor legal requirements and compliance, and to collaborate on human resource strategies by determining accountabilities, communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures.
